There is a compelling formal dialogue between the curved walls that define the main stage at the heart of the PRCA, and the creek that sits just outside of it. Like a ribbon controlled by a performer in a dance or caught in a sudden breeze, the back walls of the stage shape and define space for action, echoing Beaverton Creek's arcs and eddy’s as it cuts its way through the city's landscape, defining neighborhoods and parks along the way.

The artwork creates a piece that highlights this conversation/understanding between the PRCA and the Creek by creating a sculpture that resembles a ribbon, caught in a slight breeze as it gently curves to touch the ground. One side of the ribbon is reflective and scribed with a pattern that echoes the rippling surface of Beaverton creek, the other side is matte and smooth, reminiscent of the stage inside the PRCA.
